High Reporting Rate Smart Metering Data for Enhanced Grid Monitoring and Services for Energy Communities

Capturing the dynamic behavior of power distribution grids, especially under high penetration renewables, is interest for grid operators. The grids are not fully observable due to lack sufficient metering infrastructure, downstream medium-voltage substations. Therefore, fusion data recorded at significantly different reporting rates proposed increase situational awareness system with non-negligible effect on accuracy monitoring tool. Higher possible next generation smart meters (SM), but they raise higher concerns about privacy, already an issue SM rollout. This article proposes a framework knowledge extraction from reporting-rate data. process takes place level and low computation communication costs preserving user scope tools grids. methodology makes use statistical metrics able capture dynamics relevant network diagnosis. approach validated three-phase low-voltage flow model applied realistic testbed microgrid real field measurements synchronized 1 s.
